Lottschesee’s Sandy Lawn
The sun beamed down at us as we set out north for a short walk in the woods, followed by a relaxing afternoon at Kleiner Lottschesee. This little gem is tucked away in a forest near Wandlitz: We arrive at Kleiner Lottschesee, which is connected to Großer Lottschesee, after an hour’s walk through the surrounding woodlands. We park our car in the parking lot close to the minute lake which attributes its name to its 0.13 km² surface area. A lush lawn next to Café & Restaurant Haus Lottschesee provides plenty of space to lie down in summer. Hearty meals and hot drinks are on the menu here. Savour your snack in the sun from one of the wooden benches that look out over the lake.
In summer, it’s also possible to camp, play beach volleyball or rent SUP boards nearby. Gliding over the lake’s alluring, green waters is an alluring experience. If you can’t resist the temptation of going for a quick a dip in spring, make your way into the lake’s glittering waters through gaps in the weeds along the lake’s wild, overgrown shoreline.
